Clubs
It's been absolutely wonderful to see the sheer enjoyment children are getting from participating in our wide array of lunchtime and after-school clubs this term! The buzzing energy and concentration during these sessions are a testament to how crucial they are for personal development and exploring new interests.
We are incredibly proud to offer such a diverse and inclusive selection of activities, ensuring there truly is something for everyone. Whether your child loves to be active, creative, or collaborative, our clubs provide valuable opportunities to learn new skills and make new friends in a fun, relaxed environment.
From the intensity of Football to the strategic moves of Chess Club, there are plenty of options to keep our students active and engaged.
Creative & Crafty: Our popular creative clubs continue to inspire, including hands-on activities like Hama Beads and our budding Young Artists group through sketching and painting.
This term, we've welcomed some fantastic new additions to our club roster, proving incredibly popular. Performing Arts Club: Our students are embracing the spotlight, learning confidence and teamwork through drama games, movement, and improvisation. School Choir: The sound of music is filling the halls! The choir is a brilliant outlet for expression, building vocal technique, and preparing for performances.
These clubs are not just about filling time; they are vital spaces where children can develop key life skills outside the classroom curriculum. They boost confidence, encourage teamwork, foster creativity, and help students discover hidden talents and passions.
Sporting Events
What a busy and exciting period it has been for our school sports teams! The commitment and effort shown by all our children have been truly commendable.
Our football teams have shown incredible potential in their recent tournaments:
Year 5/6 Team performed brilliantly, showcasing exceptional teamwork and skill. They only lost one game in the entire tournament, which unfortunately meant they just missed out on a spot on Finals Day. A fantastic effort, showing how close they are to the top!
The Year 3/4 Team team had a magnificent run, battling their way all the way to the tournament final! Although they were eventually beaten by a stronger outfit on the day, reaching the final is a huge achievement and a testament to their hard work. We now look forward to preparing for finals day in May.
Our children represented the school admirably at the recent swimming gala. Despite the high level of competition from 16 schools, our swimmers gave it their all, performing superbly to secure an impressive 8th place finish overall. This was a valuable and great experience for everyone involved!
Finally, our Year 5/6 team continued their run of strong performances at the LAT Rugby Tournament. They truly outperformed expectations, making it all the way to the semi-finals. Their journey ended only when the eventual tournament winners scored a last-gasp try, showing just how competitive they were!
We have plenty more action planned for our pupils! In addition to more football fixtures, we are looking forward to participating in:
Handball
Basketball
A possible Dodgeball tournament!
Thank you for your continued support in celebrating our children's sporting achievements and helping them get to the right places when needed!
