After School Clubs

The variety of clubs this year has truly exploded. The menu of choice for the children is vast and exciting. Not only do we provide clubs after school, the children also have many opportunities at lunchtimes to indulge in lego, art, reading, basketball, table tennis and dance. We are very blessed to have such an enthusiastic team who want the children to experience lots of different activities as well as helping them to build their character profile.

Sporting events

WoW! What an amazing term for sporting achievements it has been.

We have got to the finals in nearly all the events we have entered, winning lots of games of football and swimming like dolphins through the pool. The swimming team excelled by coming 2 overall against 15 other schools, with a fantastic 3rd place in the relay. The year 5/6 boys football team graced finals day, missing out on the final by the narrowest of margins. The girls also excelled this year and have shown fantastic improvement year on year. The finals beckon for them soon I am sure. The year 3/4 team played some fantastic football on finals day, getting all the way to the final, but penalty heartbreak meant we ended up on the losing team. However, to go unbeaten throughout the whole event bodes well for future finals.

This year has seen the resurrection of football leagues for year 5/6. As I write this, we are currently 2nd in the league with a game in hand. With 6 more games to play, we are hopeful of a spot on finals day for this event too.

And finally, a huge congratulations must go to one of our year 5 boys who not only has been picked for the district team but has also been made captain. We couldn’t be prouder of all our participants, who have demonstrated the importance of building their character profile to use outside of school.
