"Determined, Persistent Achievers - learning to change the world"

End of Term Newsletter

28th March 2024

Principal's Welcome

As we move forward through the year, we have much to celebrate. Every child had been immersed in fabulous learning opportunities as you can see throughout the newsletter. Our children and staff community are seeking out new ways everyday for our children to change the world.

We have toured through History with our WW2 speeches at the War memorial and enjoyed a raucous Viking Feast with food prepared as they would have had from the Viking age!  The oat biscuits and honey made by the children were delicious!

We have washed cars and worn sportswear, we have created bake sales and many more things to raise money for charities both locally, nationally and internationally - our children are making a real difference!

We also see today, a very valued member of our community head off to pastures new.  Mr Mitchell remains within the Leigh Academies Trust but leaves us to join Hartley as Principal.  Mr Mitchell has done much to drive up the life chances of our children and helped to propel DPA to what is an outstanding school (fingers crossed when Ofsted pop back!).  Please join me in wishing him every future success.

As we close the term where we celebrate with Easter bonnets and eggs! I have enjoyed very much seeing the bonnets and creative talents of our children (and parents) in eggcellent hats and bonnets. Thank you to everyone who took time to make the Easter creations!

Happy easter DPA Families! Have a relaxing and safe holiday!
