Letter of Recommendation Request

When it comes to scholarships, college admissions, and other opportunities, letters of recommendation are very important. Most applications require at least two recommendations. Your recommenders should know you and your abilities. Do not ask a relative. Ask a teacher, coach, boss, pastor, neighbor, etc. Some applications may even specify who you can ask. Depending on the application, the recommendation should be a letter typed on official letterhead or questions that are answered on a specific form. Always give your recommender information about yourself, and allow him/her at least two weeks to complete it.
