Driver's Permit

Driver’s Permit

In the state of Kentucky, a 16 year-old is eligible for a learner's permit. In order to take the written test, a guardian must take the teen to the testing site with all of the required paperwork which includes the teen's social security card, school compliance verification form, and a state-certified copy of the birth certificate. To prevent delays, at least a week before the written test, the teen should e-mail Kelly Sandidge to request a School Compliance Verification Form. Mr. Sandidge will look at the teen's attendance and grades for the last completed SEMESTER. If the teen will be testing over the summer, then please send an e-mail before school is out. Also, state the date you will need the form. Once Mr. Sandidge completes the form, it will be left in the front office or the pick-up box located outside the school.

Students who pass the permit test may lose their permit if they do not adhere to the "No Pass/No Drive" requirements.

18 year-old students do not need the No Pass/No Drive School Compliance Verification Form.

If you have additional questions, please contact Kelly Sandidge.

We do not schedule the graduated driving classes. Please contact Tori Ritchie at 502-699-2295 or register online.

*Homeschool students should contact Charlotte Tucker.
