Regional Accreditation Requirement
CTC will only accept transcripts from colleges/universities that are regionally accredited. To verify accreditation status the Commission uses a publication entitled Accredited Institutions of Postsecondary Education (AIPE).

Quarter versus Semester Units
CTC, as well as LUSD, only counts in semester units. This means all quarter units must be converted into semester units. One semester unit is equivalent to 2/3 quarter unit.

CTC Coursework Standards
In order for courses to be utilized for credential applications, courses must be:
Regionally-accredited institutions of higher education
Non-remedial
Bachelor degree transferrable
Grade C- or higher
Credit/No Credit or Pass/No Pass
Exceptions:
Child Development Permits: Courses only need to be associate degree transferable
Basic Skills: Grades need to be a B- or above
