What is KRIC, Pakistan
KRIC, Pakistan is an intellectual platform which assists people from all disciplines to anchor to a single grid, where one can find and join an intellectual group of own interest. Thereafter, share knowledge, ideas, skills and work on novel ideas of present and future with creativity and innovation. KRIC, Pakistan guides and assists in finding the right intellectual group, attaining required skills, working on the idea of interest, in the framework of scientific research till publication of the work in a research journal or formulation and execution of its piolet project.
How can I visit the Research Center?
For general visit, you can register for preliminary membership on Join Us Information page for which no fee is charged; location, working hours, and other information is available at the Visitor’s Information page, no appointment is required. However, for meeting with a specific person, scholar or scientist, please, request an appointment by contacting our administration at +92-42-3544-0889 or +92-306-2231-196 or email your request to info@KRIC.edu.pk. I want to join the Research Center, but I don’t know much about Research?
KRIC, Pakistan has excellent team of research mentors who have lifetime research experience stretched out over distinguished Research Institutions around the world. Basing on lifetime Research experience they have designed a comprehensive research training program phased in modules for every level i.e. beginners, intermediate and expert levels. Please, see relevant Research Training Module in Courses information page in the Academics Tab at our website i.e., www.KRIC.edu.pk. Register and enroll for the desired course when it opens.
What collection of materials does the Research Center have?

Can I check out information about books, periodicals, audiovisual materials?
The Research Center resources can be found in the online library catalog on the Resources Tab; however, access to physical library of the Research Center requires a valid library card issued from the Research Center’s authorities. How can I donate something to the Research Center?
The Research Center does not accept any donation in form of money, which is strictly prohibited, however, any offering pertaining to skillful services or knowledge sharing and knowledge related material such as books are welcomed. How can I become member of the Research Center?
To become a member the Research Center you have to first fill up the form of Preliminary Membership on the Join Us Tab, by doing this you become a basic member of KRIC, Pakistan and benefit from the minimal facilities of the research center. Thereafter, if you are interested, you can upgrade your membership as a researcher of any one or more research groups in any of R0 (Informal Researcher), R1 (First Stage Researcher), R2 (Second Stage Researcher), R3 (Recognized Researcher), R4 (Established Researcher) or R5 (Profound Researcher) categories as per your academic credentials and research experience, details of which are available at the research information page under Research Tab.
How can I join a Research Study/ Research Group?
Go to the Research Group Tab on KRIC website www.KRIC.edu.pk; choose your area of interest and the preferred Research Group. Contact the Group Leader of the Research Group through mail with desired information, if you are accepted as a research member in the group then fulfill the necessary documentation for which the group leader shall guide you till your final acceptance.
What happens after the Research Study is complete?
After the Research Study is complete the group shall write the manuscript of the research article and submit it to the research journal of his choice for review and publication.
Who pays for The Research?
KRIC provides funding for its own research projects, whereas, various other organizations pay for the research they sponsor. The research sponsored by the government is paid for through a grant awarded to the doctors and scientists who conduct the research.
What happens to my data?
Generally, a single person’s data is combined with the data of many other people to form groups with similar characteristics. This group data is then analyzed so that conclusions or discoveries can be made and shared with the community.
What is a clinical trial?
A Clinical trial is a health-related research study, which is closely supervised and carefully follows a pre-defined medical protocol. Clinical Trials add to medical knowledge related to the treatment, diagnosis, and prevention of diseases or conditions. It can also be conducted to test effectiveness of medical equipment. Clinical trials may also be compared with other treatments or to ascertain the most safe and effective treatment.
What is informed consent?
Informed consent is explaining the details of the study and key facts to the participant prior to the research so that the participant can decide whether to participate or otherwise and it continues throughout the study. Then, the research team provides an informed consent document to the participant that includes details about the study, such as its purpose, duration, required procedures and key contacts, risks and potential benefits. The participant then signs the document, gives it back to researcher, the participant, however, may withdraw from the trial at any time.
Where do I contact to find grant opportunities?
There are numerous sources available for research grant opportunities in public as well as private sector and can be accessed through web. The KRIC Office of Research will assist faculty interested in finding research funding.
Can a researcher participate in multiple research groups/labs?
There is no restriction in participating simultaneously in multiple research groups/labs, this is possible for experienced researchers, however, for starters it is recommended that they participate in only one research at a time. Participating in one research area for a longer period of time helps discover more about the area and develop advanced skills.
Can a researcher participate in a research remotely?
It depends on the nature of the project and tasks assigned to the member researcher. Some researches can be done remotely while others cannot. Few common research methods and tasks that can be done remotely are literature reviews, transcribing interviews, reviewing transcripts, collecting data remotely (e.g. online surveys, zoom interviews), data analysis, archival research, coding and programming, and writing up research summaries, reports, manuscripts, etc.
Will I get paid for participating in a Research Study?
Some research studies provide a small payment or other type of compensation to participants while other studies do not. The consent form you signed provides information whether any payments will be made or otherwise. Ask your study coordinator for full details about any payments before you begin the study.
