Objectives

1. The STAC’s chief objective is to provide scientific and technical input in conceptualization, strategy development, prioritization, planning and review of KRIC’s scientific research projects/ activities with insertion of required level of innovation.

2. STAC also provides the KRIC’s Secretariat with a continuous independent evaluation of the scientific and technical aspects of all the Special Programs.

Responsibilities

The STAC’s functions is to provide scientific and technical advice to KRIC Governing Body on following: -

1. Provide technical and scientific input to the process of developing the work plan and its implementation.

2. Participate in the evaluation of competitive calls for proposals.

3. To identify, assess and recommend potential collaborators on scientific merit for the alliance.

4. Act as KRIC’s ambassadors for the collaborators’ collaboration.

5. Consider the advice and input provided by the scientific working groups on specific issues.

Membership

Governing body along with CEO’S and pertinent advisors formulate the STAC selected on the basis of individual scientific or technical competence. STAC comprises of distinguished 23 multidisciplinary members, who shall serve for a period of three years. The nominated Chairs from among selected STAC members, are thereby finally confirmed by the Governing body.
