| It took a while but it's DONE. We finished the ...
SLACK SPRING CLEANING!!
We've listened to your complains about too many channels, dead channels, boring channels. They are all GONE.
Now, other than the `track channels` (e.g. #fend-live-help), `native language channels` (e.g. #romanian), and `tech channels` (e.g. #git-github), we have a whole plethora of `thematic channels`.
Below all the thematic channels we have. Use them, they are cool.
#bragday – to tell and show the world what you’ve achieved.
#buddies – to get to know other scholars.
#career-change – to share experience and get tips about the Big Change.
#design – for all things design-related.
#inspiration – to share motivational stories, articles, talks and pictures.
#job_ads – to post ads and look for jobs.
#meetups – to organise meetups, promote them, and tell us how it was!
#memes – for memes, GIFs and other fun stuff.
#music – for some groovy study tunes.
#photo-gallery – to share your scholarship moments.
#project-ideas – to pitch your projects and look for co-creators.
#random – for anything that has nothing to do with anything.
#scholarship-feedback – to tell us what you think and propose your suggestions.
#skills_exchange – to get help where you need it, and to offer help in exchange.
#tech-news – what’s up in the tech world?
#translation_help – how to say _JUST DO IT_ in Romanian?!
Other than that, we also have some subgroup channels:
#turtle-squad – for everyone who needs some extra time.
#40_plus – for everyone who is a bit more seasoned.
#working_parents – because being a parent and doing a ND isn’t easy at all.
#women_tech_makers – because girls run the world.
#lgbt-plus – because it’s 2018.

| Hey all! We hope you had a great weekend and now can attack your projects harder, better, faster, stronger!
We did not waste our time either and made few small (but important!) updates on the site for you:

It was SO-MUCH-FUN to spend these 65 minutes with you guys! We are really sorry we were not able to answer all the questions from the chat BUT we will do that here after the weekend. SO STAY TUNED!!! YOU GUYS ROCK!!!
20.04.2018
| While you are surely busy with preparing your questions for Video AMA with us that starts in couple of hours, we wanted to reflect on the last weekend's Android Hackathon!
BIG THANKS to everyone who participated!
We had a fantastic time with ALL of you – both these of you who joined us online (especially those who shared their desk pics!) and these who came to our office in Berlin. YOU ROCK!!!

| The Reflection Week is in a full swing now!
It seems like you guys quite enjoyed yesterday's Reversed AMA on Slack. It's great to know what motivates you to finish the program, what you miss the most in Phase 2 and which Spice Girl is your favourite (we're still surprised by number of fans of Posh Spice:D)
Since we really like asking you questions, but we like answering them even MORE....get ready for...
"65 minutes on 65th day of the course" with your Community Managers!!
During these 65min of live streamed VIDEO AMA you will be able to ask us ANYTHING! You can ask questions about the course but also literally anything else. Favorite movies? What was our first job? Is the Earth actually flat? It's all open! We hope many of you come out to hang with us!!
Ask. Us. Anything.

| Wanna change your career? Then continue reading:
As some of you know, last week (April 12th) a Udacity's own wonder-kid José Nieto visited us in Berlin Udacity office with his talk on Career Change. He talked about all the complexities associated with taking such a big step in your life and how to say goodbye to all your fears.
And who knows better how to navigate a career change than somebody who has been through it? We recorded his talk for these of you who did not manage to join us in Berlin! Enjoy!
>>> José Nieto is a graduate of the Android Developer Nanodegree program and now works as a Content Developer at Udacity and coaches team lead for the Google Developer Scholarship Program. He has worked in different fields and changed careers various times and for different reasons, and knows first-hand how challenging a career change can be.

| Update on the FEND and MWS Hackathon:
Because of some internal reasons we are changing things up a bit now. The previously announced Hackathon on April 20-22 is not taking place.
Instead, we are thrilled to share that we have two awesome webinars planned with two of Udacity’s own Content Developers in FEND and MWS.
The goal of these webinars is to help you complete your course projects by connecting you with an actual content developer at Udacity. People who actually created your courses and teach them too! How cool is that?!
Stay tuned for more details on the date & time (we will send you mailings, and make official announcements on Slack, FB group and here).
