Hey, I'm Magda - born and raised in sunny (sic!) Poland by a dad who was a software engineer and mom who was a chemical engineer. I’ve been working in the online education field for almost four years now, and still can’t get enough of it!
Mysterious paths and events in life lead me from Poland to Istanbul, to Moscow and, finally, to Berlin. If I don’t spend my time thinking on how to make this Google Site better for you or what to write you in the next newsletter, I watch films (Blade Runner fan for life) or try to convince myself to the art of cooking.
Favorite Dragon Ball Character: Vegeta
Howdy, I’m Joanna and I'm pleased to meet you! I'm from the US and spent the last 10 years living in a variety of places: Iowa City, Iowa, Chicago, IL, Portland, OR, Paris, France, Mont de Marsan, France and now... Berlin!
I’ve worked in higher education at Loyola University in Chicago, operations and employee experience at Airbnb, and as a community manager at Zalando before landing here at Udacity. I consider myself a Jane of all trades, a lover of adventures, a yogi and a life long learner. I'm pumped that I get to connect and work with such a diverse and international bunch, like yourselves!
Favorite Crystal: Pyrite
My name is Marat, I’m from Israel, but after living in many different places, Berlin is my home how. Other than random historical facts, Beyoncé and pop culture, one of the things that I like the most are languages. Learning them (currently Portuguese is on the menu), working with them (before joining Udacity I was as a language teacher, translator and editor), and, most importantly, using them to connect with people.
Naturally curious, I take a great interest in the people around me, and now I get to connect with – literally – thousands of super interesting people on a daily basis for living. Consider me lucky. :)
Favorite Fruit: Mango
Oh hey! I'm Paul and I've been in the Community Management game for some time now. Why? Because it puts me in a position where I get to interact with many of you awesome people. I moved to Berlin from the cold, hard, streets of Toronto back in 2014 and some of you probably know by now that I'm a huge geek.
I attend comic-con, I spend way more than I should on collectibles and, when I'm not binging so many Netflix series in my free time, I'm working my way through my ever growing video game backlog. I speak GIF (not JIF) as a second language but I'm also working on getting better at my German (o^.^)b
Favorite Animals: Otters
WHO ARE THE COMMUNITY MANAGERS? In general, the Community Managers are here to support you with all organisational topics and to give you the best Scholarship experience possible! However, we are not able to help you with your technical and course-related questions. Not to worry though, as you have access to many other resources for that.
In Phase 2, @Marat.Udacity is your main contact person. He will be available to chat with you directly every weekday at 10:00-14:00 CET. But please feel free to write also to @Paul.Udacity, @Magda.Udacity or @Joanna.Udacity and say hi if you miss them. Please understand that we will not be able to get back to all of your messages right away as there are thousands of you.
