We have been learning about parts of the body. We had fun labelling each other!
19.09.23 To name the main organs and say where they are placed in the body.
We had lots of fun doing this.
Today we learnt about the 5 senses, focusing on sight and hearing.
We recorded what our senses told us about the world around us, in the classroom and outside on the field. The children heard: birds, cars lorries, children, pencils, music, teachers and books. They saw: cars, trees, birds, aeroplanes, clouds, trails in the sky, the school, children, stones, grass, acorns, insects and many more!
This week we learnt about our sense of smell. The children used their sense of smell to work out what was in the pots. They were very good a recognisong some of them. They smelt rosemary, chocolate, mint, orange, coffee and vanilla.
The pictures gave the children some clues as to what was hidden within the pots.
The children carried out an activity to show which part of the body is associated with which sense.
Today we learnt about our sense of taste. We tasted some different foods and talked about how we could describe the tastes, salty, sweet, disgusting, delicious, cheesy, sour and one of the tastes was described with 'it makes my eyes blink'.
