Kite testing
We are going to make our own kites. Today we tested a variety of materials to find out which one would be the best to make our own.
We tested: newspaper, tin foil, tissue paper, card and sugar paper.

These pictures show us making the kites before we tested them. We worked with a partner.
We found that kites made from tin foil break really easily. Kites made from paper, tissue paper and newspaper flew the best.

This week we started to make our final designs. We folded and cut the paper carefully, then used a saw to cut the wood for the structure of the kite.
