Our book of the week has been 'Owl Babies'. We have been using adjectives to describe the owls, the setting and the owls' feelings. When we talked about how the owls felt, we worked on explaining why we thought they might feel this way.
The children worked together in pairs to label a picture of the owls with words to describe the owls.
Some wrote sentences to go with their picture.
The children worked hard the next day to use the words they had use to label the pictures of the owls, to write sentences.
