School Food Services
Healthy nutritional choices impact academic performance. In addition to providing healthy school meals that meet federal nutrition standards, schools provide opportunities for students to learn about nutrition and healthy eating.
Information regarding food services, school lunch payment and menus can be found at each school's website.

Please note that even though meals will be free for all, it is very important for families in need to still complete the household Application for Free and Reduced Price Meals for the 2023-2024 school year. This allows districts to establish eligibility for other federal benefits and school programs. It is important to have students with economic challenges receive federal support through the National School Lunch Program.
Free & Reduced Lunch Program
If you believe your child may be eligible or if your financial circumstances have changed and you believe you may be eligible, you will need to complete the Free & Reduced Meals application. Applications and information can be found here, and on district Food Services websites. Families who have been eligible for Free and Reduced Meals in the past, must apply again for 2023-2024.

Pandemic-EBT
P-EBT was temporarily created to replace meals during the pandemic while schools were closed to in-person learning. As schools were in session during 2021-2022, families were not eligible to receive P-EBT benefits; however, eligible children will receive summer benefits.
Summer 2022
In Massachusetts, all eligible children will receive a total of $391 in P-EBT benefits in two equal payments of $195.50 this summer. K-12 students will start to receive P-EBT on July 3 and August 3. Families who receive SNAP and have a child under age six will start to receive P-EBT on July 25 and August 25.
K-12 students will be eligible for Summer P-EBT if they received P-EBT benefits in the past, meaning they are eligible to receive free or reduced-price school meals. Students newly eligible for free or reduced-price school meals during any point this last school year or during the summer, including through a School Year 2022-2023 meal household application, will also be eligible.
Families will continue to receive P-EBT on the same card they have in the past. Households who lost their P-EBT card can request a replacement card. More information on P-EBT can be found at MAp-EBT.org.
