In Schools, Care Solace & other Referral/Resource Services
NEW January 2023. The Department of Mental Health has launched a new Behavioral Health Help Line that people can call or text at 833-773-2445. It is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week in more than 200 languages. The help line can help individuals and families navigate the behavioral health system and access treatment, including mobile crisis services. For more information, please see the FAQ.
School counseling teams in the districts are key staff in supporting students and collaborating with families and other school staff. When you have concerns or questions about your child, or when special circumstances, stressors, or changes occur at home, it is helpful to connect with school counseling professionals so that they can best support your child at school.
King Philip, Norfolk, Plainville & Wrentham Schools are partnering with Care Solace. Care Solace connects students, staff, and their families to care. At no cost to you, Care Solace will quickly and confidentially find available mental health and substance use providers matched to your needs. Each district has its own weblink and QR code, but the same phone number for those who wish to connect directly.
Behavioral Health Partners MetroWest
Norfolk Residents, along with other MetroWest towns with the exception of Plainville and Wrentham, can access free referral services through BHPMW. Care Coordinators are available to talk about mental health or social service concerns related to mental health, substance use and social addiction, and social determinants of health such as Housing, Food Security, Employment/Education, Childcare and Financial Assistance and to offer service and support options that are personalized to meet your needs. Coordinators will maintain communication to ensure that you have connected to service needed.

Your Insurance Provider
Contact your insurance company to identify local providers within your network. The number for behavioral health can generally be found on the back of your insurance card. Many insurance companies also offer a search tool on their website

LINK-KID Centralized Referral System of UMASS Trauma Training Center: Provides a single point of access to connect youth (ages 0-22) who may benefit from Evidence Based Treatments (EBTs) for trauma with providers trained in these treatments.

Mass Behavioral Health Partnership
The MBHP behavioral health provider network, accessible to MassHealth Plan members, is a database of clinics, inpatient programs, individual practitioners such as social workers and psychologists, and many more. Many providers speak multiple languages. Services offered range from detox, to crisis counseling, to long-term therapy.

The JED Foundation website has information for weighing the benefits of having a therapist who understands your cultural background, and provides links to resources for locating therapists who work with individuals of diverse backgrounds. Some therapists may be located out of the King Philip towns, and/or may provide services through telehealth.

SAFE Coalition, provides local education and support for those affected by substance use disorder and mental health concerns through resources and programming for Adolescent Wellness, Family Recovery and Collaborative Care. In partnership with Wayside Youth & Family Services, is currently providing free, clinical support to those impacted by domestic violence or sexual assault; as well as children impacted by substances.
