Home Heating & Energy Assistance for Eligible Families
With the winter months approaching, the Executiv Office of Housing and Livable Communities have announced the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) enrollment period for the 2024-2025 winter season has begun. HEAP is a free, statewide resource to help eligible renters and homeowners with heating bills. HEAP pays a portion of bills directly to heating companis. Assistance period runs from Nov. 1, 2024- April 30, 2025. Apply online or through local administering agencies. (will update for 25-26 when information is available.)

Self Help and Home Energy Assistance Assistance can lower heating bills through discounts and savings options of the Low-income Home Energy Assistance Program and Heating Emergency Assistance Retrofit Task Weatherization Assistance Program (HEARTWAP) administered by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Salvation Army Massachusetts Good Neighbor Energy Fund
Available to any Massachusetts resident who, because of temporary financial difficulty, cannot meet a month's energy expense and is not eligible for state or federal energy assistance. Income must fall between 60 and 80 percent of the state's median income levels.
