Thrive is a student-centred curriculum designed to equip students with essential strategies and skills to make safe, informed, and empowered choices for their personal development. Our vision is for students to grow and develop without barriers by providing them with timely and impactful information on relationships, sex education, digital citizenship, nancial literacy, and wellbeing. Thrive equips students with the essential skills they need to navigate the wider world condently and responsibly.
•MYP (Year 7-9): All students have one Thrive lesson per week.
• IGCSE (Year 10-11): All students have one Thrive lesson per week.
• IB (Year 12-13): Year 12 and 13 students have one Thrive lesson every two weeks.
Key Themes Covered The Thrive curriculum at KGV is structured around three core themes: Health and Wellbeing, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE), and Living in the Wider World (LIV). These themes will develop as students progress from Year 7-13, allowing students to deepen their understanding and develop the skills and attributes essential at an age appropriate level.

All content is suggested by the UN children's development goals and the ESF Relationships and Sexuality Education scope and sequence.
We encourage you to engage with your child about what they are learning in Thrive and support them in applying these skills in everyday life. Thrive is more than a curriculum; it is a commitment to nurturing well-rounded, condent, and compassionate young people.
