Twice a year (Sept and Feb) students complete a wellbeing survey. This is a simple google form which includes questions on things like friendships, how they are coping with school work, and whether they feel cared for by teachers. There are also 35 standardised multiple choice questions designed to measure cognitive and affective student engagment. You can learn more about that here.
Students also have the chance to let us know if they would like to have a counselling appointment or if the have any concerns about any of their friends.
Student responses are not anonymous and their tutor, or a nominated member of staff, will have a follow up conversation with each student in the coming weeks, and if needed we will provide additional support.
