Hi everyone! I'm Yorrick Tse, the ELSA EA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) at KGV, here to offer a safe and supportive space for your emotional well-being. As a certified ELSA and Mental Health First Aider, I provide in-school ELSA sessions, guided by our ESF educational psychologist. Emotional literacy is about helping you understand your feelings and learn positive ways to handle life's challenges. In our sessions, we explore this through activities, games, and genuine conversations. Whether you're navigating a tricky time, feeling overwhelmed, or simply need a dedicated space to explore your feelings, the ELSA room is here for you!
You can find me in the ELSA room in the LRC (pictured)
ELSAs are trained to plan and provide a series of 1:1 or group sessions to support students in developing new skills that help them to recognise and manage their social and emotional needs more effectively. Sessions take place in dedicated room which provides a calm, safe space for the child to feel supported and nurtured.
Goal setting: ELSAs will work with students to set goals then work together on them for six to twelve weeks.
