Welcome to EdTech Cheer 2024!
To spread cheer in this dreary season, we wanted to share some ways that you can leverage artificial intelligence in your teaching and learning to not only save you time, but help prepare students for THEIR future. Instead of the traditional 12 days that has been the previous structure of EdTech Cheer, this year has an expanded timeline to provide more time to dig into the content and try out some new tools and strategies. Over the duration of the course, participants will receive communications focused around one the 5 Big Ideas in AI as well as easy to implement strategies and activities. The information presented in this course is scaffolded to not only help you learn more about artificial intelligence, but also bring it into your professional practice. In each communication, you will receive information, ideas, and opportunities that will challenge you to think about AI from a different perspective.
Over the duration of the course, participants will be able to explore the 5 Big Ideas in AI:
Big Idea #1: Perception
Big Idea #2: Representation and Reasoning
Big Idea #3: Learning
Big Idea #4: Natural Interaction
Big Idea #5: Societal Impact
Each learning topic will not only contain information about the topic presented as well as lessons and activities to model with students. This course is designed for asynchronous instruction and reflections will earn you SCECH credit.
