Welcome to EdTech Cheer 2025!

To spread cheer in this dreary season, we wanted to share some ways that you can leverage artificial intelligence in your teaching and learning to not only save you time, but help prepare students for THEIR future. Once a week for 5 weeks, participants will receive communication focused around Kent ISD's 5 Student Engagement Accelerators and how these align to leveraging AI tools to increase student engagement. The information presented in this course is scaffolded to not only help you learn more about artificial intelligence, but also bring it into your professional practice through student engagement strategies. In each communication, you will receive information, ideas, and opportunities that will challenge you to think about AI and student engagement from a different perspective.

Over the duration of the course, participants will be able to explore Kent ISD's 5 Student Engagement Accelerators through the lens of AI:

Accelerator #1: Relationships
Accelerator #2: Student-Centered Learning
Accelerator #3: Climate/Environment
Accelerator #4: Instructional Moves
Accelerator #5: Asset-Driven Teaching

Each week will not only contain information about the topic presented as well as application ideas. This course is designed for asynchronous instruction and reflections and applications will earn you SCECH credit.
