Welcome to Bear Creek Intermediate!
Mission: Dedicated to developing excellence for all students, teachers and staff to ensure a lifelong love of learning.
Motto: Believing. Caring. Inspiring.
Vision: A community that supports and inspires one another.
The 5th and 6th grade classes with the most donations were able to silly string the AP's. Way to go Braves!
Thank you to everyone! We met our goal of $30,000. This donation will help add hand dryers to our girl's bathrooms and campus beautification.
A big shout out to our oustanding PTA, all our wonderful parents and amazing volunteers for making this day a success for our students. We couldn't do this without you!
MEET SOME OF OUR NEW BRAVE STAFF MEMBERS!
Hello!
My name is Kristin Corley, and I am proud to be the AP Secretary, and I am loving being a part of BCI!
I have been married for 19 years, and we have 3 children. Our son is a Senior Ridge, and we also have a daughter who is a sophomore at Ridge, and our youngest daughter is in 7th grade at Vista Ridge. I spend my time enjoying my kids theater endeavors, volleyball games, and select and high school softball. In my little bit of free time I enjoy reading and having game nights with my family! I am looking forward to an incredible future at Bear Creek Intermediate!
Hi everyone!
My name is Anna Brekken, and this is my first year as the Attendance Clerk/Substitute Coordinator at BCI. My family and I just moved to Texas last summer from Minnesota, but I spent most of my childhood in Indiana. We are all huge Disney fans, and love watching Disney movies any chance we get! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my two boys, reading, and exploring new parks in the area. I am so excited to be joining the team here at BCI and look forward to a wonderful school year!
School Holiday is coming!
Mark it on your calendar!

Counselor News - OCTOBER
On October 4th, for 6th graders only, Alliance for Children will deliver a lesson on Fentanyl Poisoning Prevention, which meets the state requirements of HB 3908), known as Tucker’s Law. TEC, §38.040, requires each school district and open-enrollment charter school to annually provide to students in grades 6–12 research-based instruction on fentanyl abuse prevention and drug poisoning awareness to educate students about the dangers posed by the drug fentanyl and the risks of fentanyl poisoning.
This will be done during your child’s FLEX period.
If you have opted your child out of counseling services, they will not receive this lesson.
However, if you said yes to counseling services, you still have the option to opt-out of this particular lesson by filling out this form:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DLBjmo3XzxDsa7uklC78pWoITrFva8oi37x1vhNhkjI/edit

We encourage you to review the map for drop off and pick up expectations. Our focus is for safety for all. The easiest piece of advice is to follow our staff's instructions in our drop off/pick up lanes. If they need you to pull up, please follow this procedure; otherwise, you will be backing up the lanes for drop off which can cause students to be tardy or not being aware of safety concerns as they pertain to our crosswalks. Thank you in advance!
