April 9th - Reading STAAR - Closed Campus - no deliveries
April 12th - BIG EVENT from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM; JR Vase @ Hillwood 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
April 15th - Science STAAR - 5th only - Closed Campus - no deliveries
April 18th and April 21st - NO SCHOOL
April 23rd - Math STAAR - Closed Campus - no deliveries
As we get closer to our testing dates of STAAR, I feel it is a good time to remind ourselves about the power of a good, appropriate testing snack. :)
STAAR Testing Snacks
Be mindful of the snacks that will be allowed around the testing environment. If a snack is something that will produce crumbs, sticky fingers, or have any residue that can be transmitted to testing documents or technology, we will ask you to eat it after testing is completed.
Allowable snacks:
· Hard candy like peppermint (You can bring a baggie with hard candies already unwrapped to help keep the testing environment as quiet as possible.)
· Only water – your water bottle will need to be kept on the floor next to you during testing. Keeping it off your desk with help from accidents and water rings which can destroy testing tickets and other items.
Keep in mind that chips and other snacks are allowed to pack for your lunch, but while you are taking your test, we need to limit what is accessible.

Sack lunch will include the following: Turkey/Ham with cheese sandwich, carrots and apples. The student may get a milk also if they wish.

Hello BRAVE families!
We are excited to invite you to join us for The Big Event, Keller ISD’s day of service, on Saturday, April 12th, from 9:00-11:00 AM! This special day is an opportunity for Bear Creek to come together and give back to the community that supports us every day.
Our goals are to show gratitude, strengthen connections, and make a meaningful impact. Each service project reflects the unique character of each campus, but we all share a common goal: to say thank you to those who make our community such an incredible place.
This year, Bear Creek has two wonderful projects. First, we are gathering at BCI to beautify the campus with trash pick up and sidewalk sweeping (if you have a broom please bring it). This is a great opportunity for our Clubs to come together and work on a project as a team. We would love for you to be part of this effort! We’ve also teamed up with Keller Humane Society to hold a donation drive! Check out what they are needing in the How You Can Help Below!
How You Can Help:
Join us on the day of the event – Bring your family and friends to lend a helping hand!
Spread the word – Encourage neighbors, extended family, and local businesses to participate.
Donate supplies – Dawn Dish Soap, Treats, Pill Pockets, Towels, Blankets and animal toys (Students and Families can send donations in to BCI prior to April 12th by dropping it off at our Donation Station)!
Together, we can make a difference and show our appreciation for the amazing community we call home. Let’s make this year’s Big Event the best one yet!

With the warmer weather we wanted to remind everyone of the Dress Code set by Keller ISD. These are also listed in the Student Code of Conduct on the Keller ISD website. Students are responsible to follow these guidelines during school hours and all school functions. BRAVE NEWS
Thank you for dropping off your student(s) in the student loop using Phillips Dr. between 7:15 am and 7:45 am. If it is past 7:45 your student will need to be dropped off in the front office to obtain a tardy pass for class.
The front entrance of the school is reserved for carpooling students of 3 or more who attend BCI.
As a reminder, for the safety of our students and staff, no cell phone use is allowed, the speed limit is 10 mph on school property, and 20 mph in School Zones.
Parents are allowed to have lunch with their student in the vestibule or in the atriums.
We encourage you to review the map for drop off and pick up expectations. Our focus is for safety for all. The easiest piece of advice is to follow our staff's instructions in our drop off/pick up lanes. If they need you to pull up, please follow this procedure; otherwise, you will be backing up the lanes for drop off which can cause students to be tardy or not being aware of safety concerns as they pertain to our crosswalks. To improve the communication of menu changes Sodexo has launched new and improved online menus for Keller ISD through Nutrislice at https://kellerisd.nutrislice.com/menus-eula .
This change will provide students, staff and families the most up-to-date printable and digital menus that are reflective of any changes that need to be made to the menus.

Keller ISD is proud to have Texas Central School Bus as the District’s transportation provider! TCSB has a fleet of 243 buses and provides transportation to over 7,500 students across the District.
KISD is required to provide bus service to eligible students who live more than two miles from their campus of regular attendance and for special needs students who require transportation to attend school.
