Hello, friends!
My name is Ms. Hurst and I am the librarian of Bear Creek and Keller Middle School! I help my awesome students find their next great read, promote a love of literature, help kids practice important skills like problem-solving and collaboration through STEM activities and so much more! My friends know me as someone who likes to try new things and explore the world! I love to go on adventure walks and enjoy a variety of artistic hobbies (and reading of course!)
My name is Mrs. Lowery.
I am so excited to be your 6th grade RLA teacher this year! I love spending time with my husband, dogs, family and friends. I strive to create a welcoming classroom for all students to have fun, learn and grow. I am thrilled to have an amazing school year!

NURSE INFORMATION

Please review the forms for 5th grade girls spinal screening information and how to opt out. The fall 2024 spinal screenings are for 5th grade girls only and will occur on either October 31st or November 6th depending on class schedules. Your student must wear a fitted tank top, sports bra, any other type of bra, or bathing suit top under their shirt on these days in order to be screened. You may opt out of having your student screened if you provide the following two items to the school nurse (if these two items are not turned in by the following dates, your student will be screened by KISD screeners):
The Spinal Screening Exclusion form must be completed, notarized, and turned in to the school nurse by October 30th.
Documentation of a spinal screening completed by a licensed medical professional in the fall of 2024 must be turned in to the school nurse by November 5th.
If your student has a current diagnosis of scoliosis and/or is currently being followed by a physician and has been seen in the last 12 months, please turn in medical documentation to the school nurse and they will be excluded from screenings. Please contact Nurse Melissa if you have any additional questions.

We encourage you to review the map for drop off and pick up expectations. Our focus is for safety for all. The easiest piece of advice is to follow our staff's instructions in our drop off/pick up lanes. If they need you to pull up, please follow this procedure; otherwise, you will be backing up the lanes for drop off which can cause students to be tardy or not being aware of safety concerns as they pertain to our crosswalks. Thank you in advance!
To improve the communication of menu changes Sodexo has recently launched new and improved online menus for Keller ISD through Nutrislice at https://kellerisd.nutrislice.com/menus-eula .
This change will provide students, staff and families the most up-to-date printable and digital menus that are reflective of any changes that need to be made to the menus.

Keller ISD is proud to have Texas Central School Bus as the District’s transportation provider! TCSB has a fleet of 243 buses and provides transportation to over 7,500 students across the District.
KISD is required to provide bus service to eligible students who live more than two miles from their campus of regular attendance and for special needs students who require transportation to attend school.
