Hi everyone!
I am Julian Chu, a junior from Dominican International School (DIS), and I am thrilled to serve as your president for UNESCO, along with Livy and Jamie.
I have been part of the Model United Nations for 5 years now, and I enjoyed how MUN challenges us to leap out of our comfort zones. I remember the start of my own MUN journey, being a complete novice at my first conference. Now, I've chaired at 5 conferences, and it is my honor to guide you through LINMUN VI. I hope that this committee will give you a new opportunity to explore a wider perspective on global issues while developing skills that you will use for a lifetime. Apart from MUN, I enjoy longboard dancing, acting, and I play volleyball and basketball.
I look forward to meeting all of you and working together to make this conference a memorable experience for everyone! Feel free to contact me through email(1800102@dishs.tp.edu.tw) or Instagram(julian_wang_chu).
Hi delegates! Welcome to UNESCO.
My name is Livy, and it is my honour to serve as the Deputy Chair for this year’s LINMUN.
I’m from CTBC International Academy and currently in 9th grade, and this will be my first time chairing. I started my Model United Nations journey two years ago at LINMUN V. At first, I had no idea what was happening and struggled to give any speeches other than my opening speech. Looking back, I realize that I’ve gained confidence in public speaking and started to enjoy MUN. Aside from MUN, I enjoy listening to music and watching anime. I also love disturbing my friends with jokes and random things they probably don’t need to know.
Always feel free to ask questions if you have any! Good luck, and see you at the conference!
Hi everyone!
My name is Jamie Cheng, a sophomore at Dominican International School Taipei, and I am incredibly honored to be able to serve as your UNESCO Deputy President for this year's LINMUN. At my first conference in seventh grade, I only went because my friend told me to, but quickly, I grew to love the experiences of MUN conferences. This would be my first time chairing, and I am so excited. I know the experience of going from a confused delegate to learning to speak out. Therefore, I know the help chairs can be in guiding delegates in the right direction, and I would try my very best to do so.
I want everyone in the committee to not be afraid to debate/discuss, knowing that all of us support you. Even if you cringe at what you say, just know that we would not remember any of your embarrassments because, for me, I would be a lot more focused on mine. If you’re still scared, just know that it is your comfort zone broadening, and it is a great new experience.
Anyways, I love to eat and find out new meanings behind it (bitesandflights.org), volleyball, and anything that can take my mind off academics. Even though I may have an rbf, just know that it is not who I am, so feel free to talk to me about anything and ask for help when you need it.
I’m looking forward to meeting all of you!
