Hello Delegates,

My name is Nero Ho, I’m currently a sophomore studying at American School in Taichung and it is my honor to serve as your head chair of this year’s LINMUN Security Council. LINMUN would mark my 18th conference and it has been a blast. From being a timid delegate to a confident delegate that would sometimes hog the podium, my honest advice for you is to step out of your comfort zone and ask as many questions as possible prior and during the conference. 

Outside of the committee room I especially enjoy watching mockumentary like Abbot Elementary, Brooklyn 99, Modern Family and Tires.

Hello, delegates! My name is Faith Yang, a freshman at KCISLK, and it is my utmost honor to serve as your deputy president for this year’s Security Council. This marks my eighth MUN conference and third time attending LINMUN.

I started my MUN journey just two years ago, but have already grown from a shy delegate into one who can participate in debate and collaborate with other delegates. Before my first conference, I had no prior knowledge of the procedures of MUN or what to expect. However, after those two days I fell in love with the stimulating environment and friendly atmosphere of MUN. Since then, I have become much better at public speaking, researching on global topics, and interacting with new people. I hope that this upcoming conference can be as fun as it had been for me before, so don’t be afraid to share your ideas and make friends!

Outside of MUN, I enjoy reading, particularly in the genres of crime fiction, historical fiction, and dark fantasy. I also like bouldering, listening to music (especially Billie Eillish), and occasionally sketching, so if you have any book recommendations or share similar interests, feel free to come chat with me. I look forward to meeting everyone in January!
