Security Council
(101) The question of addressing the situation in Myanmar
(102) The question of tackling the border dispute between Cambodia and Thailand
Greetings! I am Emily Lien, a junior enrolled at I-Shou International School (IIS), and it is my utmost honor to be serving as your President of the Security Council for LINMUN VI this year.
Ever since I started my MUN journey in Grade 6, I soon fell in love with the intense debate, the excitement of seeing delegates raising their placards to defend their country stances, and to realize that MUN is also a platform to form friendships that will follow you for the rest of your school life. LINMUN will be my 29th conference and eighth time chairing. I hope everyone can enjoy LINMUN, grow as both a global citizen and a debater, and embrace the memories made along this conference!
Feel free to contact me at emily.lien@iis.kh.edu.tw or @_emilyyl.21 on Instagram if you have any questions or concerns regarding the conference, and I will do my best to help. Apart from MUN, I also enjoy reading, writing, and watching anime. I am looking forward to seeing you all in March!
Hello! My name is Haru Shih, and I am a freshman at Kaohsiung American School. I am extremely honored to have the opportunity to serve as a student officer at LINMUN. This will be my 2nd time chairing and my 7th conference. I joined MUN a year ago along with some of my friends, and have fallen in love with it ever since.
Outside of MUN I enjoy listening to true crime podcasts, reading, and painting (my favorite mediums are charcoal and oil). I also enjoy studying art history and visiting museums. Some of my favorite artists include John William Waterhouse, Artemisia Gentileschi, and Lawrence Alma-Tadema.
Feel free to reach out to me via email at haruushih0320@gmail.com or on Instagram @muahahahaharu. I look forward to seeing everyone in March!
