To support our Careers programme, Mid-Essex CA commision the services of Directions CIAG.
Directions work alongside our careers team to support Mid-Essex CA pupils with planning for their future. Pupils have the opportunity to meet with our dedicated careers adviser to talk about their ideas and create a plan for the future.
After the meeting, a careers action plan is produced and shared with the pupil and parents/carers. Our careers co-ordinator Mrs James and Emma Doman, our dedicated careers adviser will work with pupils to turn their careers dreams into a reality.
In these meeting pupils will have the opportunity to:
make career choices
understand career and labour market information to help make post 16 plans
receive tailored advice and support that meets and addresses the needs of all HCA pupils
be made aware of all further education (college, 6th form, traineeships, intermediate apprenticeships) and higher education (university, higher level apprenticeships) opportunities.

“I fell into the world of Careers Guidance in 2003, purely by chance, but have never looked back! It’s a rare moment to find a job you genuinely love. I really enjoy working with young people and helping them to make decisions about their futures, and the sense of reward is second to none! I started working with Directions in September 2015 and I relish being part of an accomplished and skillful group of professionals.”
