Launch of HanWeb 6.0 April 2019

KanHan Technologies Limited (KanHan) proudly announces today a major version upgrade of its awards winning HanWEB Publishing Server (HanWEB) to Version 6.0. Since launched in 2001, HanWEB has become the dominant leader in providing a real-time conversion technology for website between Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.
HanWEB is a plug and play solution that when linked to a Chinese website, will automatically translate all website content and generate a new website of the other Chinese Version requiring no change to the original one.
HanWEB 6.0 - Four Main Features Update
1. Support HTTPS
The Office of Government Chief Information Officer has announced that all government departments should adopt HTTPS for their websites. HTTPS ensures all communications between visitors' browser and the website are encrypted.
2. Support Server 2012/2016
As Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard is obsolete, HanWEB 6.0 is upgraded to support server 2012/2016 to provide sustainable security update that enhances stability of operation.

3. Support the full supplementary set defined in HKSCS-2016
HanWEB 6.0 fully supports all characters in the HKSCS-2016, including 5,033 characters of which 24 characters are newly added, aiming to facilitate the communication among public and government departments.
4. Comply with W3C and WCAG 2.0
Make web content more accessible to a wide range of disabilities, including blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, learning disabilities, cognitive limitations, limited movement, speech disabilities, photosensitivity and combinations of these.
5. Support Built- in & on the fly
Built-in approach allows user to fine-tune the translation result and has a database record for a better vision control.
End Of - Life of ALL HanWEB old Versions
Support Service to HanWEB 5.0 and all older Versions will cease effective from 31 December 2019
