School Hours & Term Dates

Our school office operates from 8:00am until 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Our dedicated staff members are available during these hours to assist you with general enquiries and process payments for school fees and excursions.

If you wish to schedule an appointment with any of our administrative or teaching staff, please feel free to contact our office via phone at 03 5442 1311.

We kindly request that you notify the office if your child will not be taking the school bus. You can do so by either calling us on the aforementioned phone number or sending us a message through the office Dojo.

We understand the importance of regular attendance in your child's academic progress and overall development. As such, we encourage all students to attend school on a daily basis unless there are extenuating circumstances.

If your child is unable to attend school for any reason, please notify our school office by phone at 03 5442 1311. We kindly ask that you provide us with the reason for your child's absence, as well as the expected date of their return to school.

Students who arrive at school after the bell should report to the office before proceeding to their classroom. This ensures that we have an accurate record of student attendance and that students receive any necessary instructions or updates before starting their day.

Please note that supervision of students begins at 8:30 a.m. Therefore, we advise that students do not arrive at school before this time, as there will be no supervision available.

We are excited to welcome our newest students to Kalianna School. As part of our commitment to ensuring a smooth transition to school life, we would like to inform you that Prep aged students for the first two weeks will do half days and will not attend school on Wednesdays during the first term.

This approach provides our youngest students with a gentle introduction to school life, giving them time to adjust to new routines and expectations. It also allows our dedicated teaching staff to provide additional support and attention to each student as they adapt to their new environment.

We wish to inform you that our school will have a different dismissal time of 1:50 pm on the last day of each term, which is one hour earlier than the regular schedule. We will update our official Facebook and Class Dojo pages with these specific timings closer to the holiday dates to serve as a reminder.
