Roosevelt High School will offer Financial Aid Basics during Parent/Teacher Conferences on Monday, October 20 from 6-7 PM in the Little Theatre. A Financial Aid Representative will give a presentation on financial aid and answer any questions families may have. Presentation below.
The college bound student and one parent will need to have an FSD ID. Parents will utilize the same FSA ID for each of their college bound students, as well as for themselves, if they've been a student. The student will need to create an FSA ID. They need to establish this with a email address and phone number that they will have long term. Students should not use their K12 email address for their FSA ID. You will not be able to complete the FAFSA until your FSA ID has been confirmed. It generally takes 1-3 days to receive your confirmation.

Students and/or parents can apply for private loans. Many colleges and universities utilize an alternative lender list. One of the common one is FASTChoice. Links can be found on each school's websites under Financial Aid. If ever in doubt, please do not hesitate to reach out to the college Financial Aid Office, if you have questions.
