Please utilize the document below for graduation requirements and information on the three types of endorsements students can earn.
High school counselors keep graduation checklists on each of their students to help students fulfill their graduation requirements.
To be identified at graduation as a SDBOR Regents Scholar, a student will need to meet the requirements.
Course Requirements
4 units of English
4 units of Algebra I or higher mathematics
4 units of science including 3 units of approved laboratory science
3 units of social studies
2 units of modern or classical language OR 2 units of Career and Technical Education (CTE) OR a combination of the two. If taking two language courses, they need to be of the same language.
1 unit of fine arts
Additional Requirements
Graduate from a SD high school
Complete required course work
Receive a "C" or higher on all required coursework
Obtain a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
