LT 716 Systematic Design of Instruction
Course Description: Students will learn concepts and tools for applying systems theory to instructional design, including needs, instructional, learner, and context analyses, objectives, assessment, strategy, development, and evaluation. Addresses client learning needs in various organizational settings: business, industry, government, health care, education, and not-for-profit.
Reflection:
This course was taken online through USD in the Fall of 2021. This course focuses on the five elements of instructional design and the phases (empathize, define, ideate, prototype and test) used for creating products. This provided an opportunity to learn more about creating products using the design process by including needs and characteristics of the learner, outcomes and assessments, techniques of instructional analysis, activities for learning experiences, and evaluation.
