CET 723 Inclusive STEM Instruction
Course Description: A survey of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) teaching across age level, with special emphasis on creating inclusive environments for K-12 students with special needs, including but not limited to assistive technology tools and pedagogical strategies. Questioning and sharing best practices on how to improve STEM learning outcomes for all students, regardless of disability.
Reflection:
Inclusive STEM Instruction provided an opportunity to learn about including STEM in education. Throughout this course, I collaborated among the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math in order to use soft skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking and teamwork. STEM provides challenges related to real-world attributes so that students become aware of the society in which they live.

How I Will Use This in my Professional Career:
One of the things that I will take and use in my profession from this course is from the UDL Principles of providing choices for my students. Not only will I provide choices for activities but also for how they participate and how they will share their knowledge.
