CET 792: Instructional Design Fundamentals- Fall 2024 - 3 credits

Course Description:  This course provides a comprehensive introduction to instructional design, focusing on foundational principles and their application in creating effective learning materials and strategies. Participants  develop detailed instructional design documents, explore and integrate digital tools to enhance engagement, and evaluate instructional effectiveness using formative and summative assessments. 

Key Takeaways:  This course highlighted the power of reflection when creating instructional content. The professor empowered me to reflect on my own experiences participating in online courses and professional developments. This taught me how to enhance my instructional content to make it more engaging for people who participate in the courses.

This course plan project was constructed with the intent to teach a course for general education teachers about special education and its processes. Special education processes are not always understood by general education teachers, and having this knowledge can empower them to participate more in IEP meetings.
