About Me:
When I was young, I was always fascinated by nature, numbers, and the vastness of the world around me. My quest for knowledge motivated me to persevere in school and pursue career opportunities that incorporated my strengths in math and science. Prior to being a teacher, I worked in various industries and research facilities in Asia and the US where I was able to apply my skills in laboratory analysis and quality control.
I always had a passion for learning, and having a desire to positively impact the environment and my community, I decided to become an educator so I can promote critical thinking and informed decision making to my students. It is my goal to help students learn science concepts and teach them skills that they will use in their future careers. In their science class, students will learn principles that will help them explain how different systems work, as well as recognize issues that are relevant in today's world.
When I am not teaching, I like hiking, traveling, and exploring nature with my husband and energetic son.
