Course Expectations:
Algebra 2 Honors is an accelerated, college preparatory, year course intended for highly motivated students who wish to experience a rigorous math course and further their studies of Mathematics.
Students will expand their Algebraic knowledge of functions from linear and quadratic to complex numbers, power functions, radical functions, exponential functions, logarithmic functions, and rational functions.
They will expand their knowledge of basic Trigonometric rations to include the unit circle, radian measures, and Trigonometric functions, laws, and properties.
Students are expected to be active participants in their learning and actively seek assistance as needed.
It is strongly suggested students spend time reviewing prior concepts and studying new concepts daily.

About me:
This is my 18th year teaching math at Roosevelt High School. Last school year, I moved from a full-time classroom teacher to Testing Coordinator/Data Coach. However, I continue to teach the Algebra 2 Honors course to stay connected with students and the classroom. I enjoy learning alongside my students. While I definitely challenge them, they often challenge me in return—what's life without a little problem-solving? I support student struggle by encouraging perseverance and helping students discover strategies to overcome personal and academic challenges.
