Foundations of Business & Marketing is an introductory course designed to inform students about careers in various sectors of business, as well as basic business concepts. This FIRST year course serves as the foundation course for the Entrepreneurship and Marketing Management programs of study. Upon completion of the course, a proficient student will have foundational knowledge of business and business-related occupations and concepts, including management, finance, marketing, and entrepreneurship and how each intertwines.

Entrepreneurship 1 is the SECOND year course in the Entrepreneurship Program of Study designed to inform students about careers related to starting and running a business. Students prepare for the business world by examining basic principles in management, finance, and marketing as they apply to entrepreneurship. Upon completion of the course, a proficient student will be able to describe the foundations of small business operations and how entrepreneurship intertwines to create the fabric of the labor market.

Entrepreneurship 2 is the THIRD year course in the Entrepreneurship Program of Study designed to prepare for the world of small business by combining principles in operations, finance and accounting, marketing, and ethical practices. Upon completion of the course, a proficient student will be able to begin an internship with a small business owner or entrepreneurship incubator or lay the foundation for creating a small business using the ideas and proposal elements created in this course. Students will be enrolled in the DECA Club.

Entrepreneurship: WBL is the FOURTH year capstone course in the Entrepreneurship Program of Study. It is intended to provide a work-based learning experience for students to develop further understanding of professional and ethical issues, utilize employability skills, and demonstrate mastery of academic and technical skills learned throughout this Program of Study. The work-based learning experience provides opportunities to apply and practice the knowledge and skills learned in previous courses and gives students hands-on practical experiences related to aspects of entrepreneurship and fields of business. Upon completion of the course, a proficient student will be able to discern multiple pathways to becoming an entrepreneur and owning a small business, necessary steps toward applying for a postsecondary program, and reflect on program goals and aspirations. Instruction will be delivered through the classroom environment in conjunction with a work-based learning placement, such as an internship.
Prerequisite: Entrepreneurship 2 (TBE3000). Placement in this course is based on the recommendation of the CTE Pathway teacher and availability of student placement. See CTE Pathway teacher for more information.

Advertising & Public Relations is the SECOND year course
in the Marketing Management program of study designed to
prepare students for the marketing world by examining basic
principles in advertising, such as market segmentation, research,
and building promotional campaigns. Upon completion of the

multiple aspects of advertising and public relations concepts
that keep a business in the consumer’s mind through channels
such as print, social media, and public relations.

Digital Marketing & Market Analytics is the THIRD year course in the Marketing Management program of study designed to inform students about marketing in the digital world. Students prepare for the world of business by examining the uses, marketing strategies, and data generated by social media marketing. Upon completion of the course, a proficient student will be able to describe and apply the process of building a promotional campaign through digital means and the applied use of data contained in these methods to drive market research.
This course does NOT qualify as a second level course if pursuing a program of study.

This course does NOT qualify as a second level course if pursuing a program of study.

Upon completion of the course, a proficient student will be able to discern multiple pathways to a career in banking/finance, necessary steps toward applying for a postsecondary program, necessary steps toward applying for a job, and reflect on program goals and aspirations. Instruction will be delivered through the classroom environment in conjunction with a work-based learning placement, such as an internship. The student will finalize a digital course portfolio providing evidence of mastery of the program standards and readiness for postsecondary and the workforce.

AP Business with Personal Finance is an introductory, college-level business and personal finance course. Students explore the business disciplines of entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, accounting, and management through real-world business application, case studies, and project-based learning. In addition, students learn and apply all the National Standards for Personal Financial Education created by the Council for Economic Education and the Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy.
Prerequisite: Must have completed Foundations of Business & Marketing (TBB1000) and Principles of Finance and Economics (TBP2000) and receive CTE Business Teacher Approval. This course will be piloted in SY 2026-2027 and exceptions will be made to prerequisites, please see CTE Teacher for more information.
