 Week of January 12-16

Language Arts: 

Learning Targets - On Monday, we will conclude our discussion on the chapter titled "War and Peace." Tuesday and Wednesday, we will take the Reading MAP test. The remainder of the week, we will focus on Ha learning to stand up for herself and learning to be proud of her Vietnamese heritage.

Bible: 

Learning Targets:  This week, we will watch a movie about the book of Hosea.  We will then use that movie to write a paper about Hosea and God's love for us.

Science:

Learning Targets: 

This week in science we will continue our unit on Diversity of Life. We will be working heavily with microscopes this week, learning about field of view, width of objective lenses, the parts of the microscope, and exploring a variety of things within our classroom. We will have a microscope quiz at the end of the week and do partner labs to explore and learn the use of the microscope.

Social Studies: We will finish our study of the Roman Empire by looking at the reason for Rome's fall.  We will then have our test on the Roman Empire.  Afterward, we will begin our unit on the indigenous people of North America.  

Assignments: No assignments due unless in-class work is not completed.

Assessments: Roman Empire Test on Tuesday, 1/13/26. 

Math: In the upcoming week students will continue their unit on Ratios and Proportions. Our learning targets will cover how to write and solve, and graph proportional relationships.
