This week in math we continue with the second half our unit on Chapter 2: Transformations. We will still be working with shapes but focusing largely on dilations and similar figures. Students will learn how dilations change a shape and how similar figures are related, finding missing sides and angles of similar shapes.

This week we will continue our nonfiction reading unit. We will be reading Four Perfect Pebbles by Lila Perl and Marion Blumenthal Lazan, a true story about a family who was greatly impacted by the Holocaust. Throughout this unit, we will be building our knowledge and understanding of the Holocaust in order to better understand the story.
