This week in math we will review and assess the first half our unit on Chapter 2: Transformations. We will be working with shapes (mainly triangles) and learning the various graph transformations - dilations, rotations, reflections, translations. Students will learn how the vertices' coordinates change based on the transformations and how the shape is affected. This week we will review all 2.1-2.4 content before assessing

This week we will wrap up our unit on Chapter 5, systems of equations. We will review the three methods for solving systems: Solving by graphing, substitution, and elimination. We will also review systems of inequalities and how to determine solustions to these systems using shading. We will assess mid-week and begin exam reveiw after.

This week we will continue our nonfiction reading unit. We will be reading Four Perfect Pebbles by Lila Perl and Marion Blumenthal Lazan, a true story about a family who was greatly impacted by the Holocaust. Throughout this unit, we will be building our knowledge and understanding of the Holocaust in order to better understand the story.
