Concentrator Course

Digital Art 1 

This is a beginning digital arts course.  You'll gain hands-on experience in fundamental technical and creative skills in graphic design, digital imaging and digital illustration. You will learn strategies of graphic design,  the basics of Adobe Photoshop Adobe Illustrator, produce images that convey desired messages, styles, and tones and explore vector illustration and drawing. Hands-on projects focus on core skills and provide you with experience in traditional and digital media. Class assignments include real-world design challenges, digital imaging, vector drawing, traditional drawing, color and composition, and illustration. 

Capstone Course

Digital Art 2 

Students build on the knowledge and skill acquired in Digital Art 1 to complete more hands-on experience in fundamental technical and creative skills in graphic design, digital imaging and digital illustration. Students will deepen their understanding of graphic design, Adobe Photoshop Adobe Illustrator, producing images that convey desired messages, styles, and tones and further learning with vector illustration and drawing.
