Construction 1

This course offers an in-depth introduction to woodworking and construction, in which students learn the correct and safe use of tools, machines, materials and techniques. Students will use these skills to build a variety of projects, including turning and carving. Accuracy, neatness, and safe work habits are stressed, and career pathways are also explored. 

Capstone COURSE

Construction 2

Upper level wood technology classes provide more in-depth training in furniture-making, woodturning and cabinet-making through a series of individual and team projects. Students are also introduced to basic carpentry skills and elements of stagecraft by means of community-based projects and work with the high school theater arts department.
