He or she will receive communication from the Coach or Boosters and will need to forward it on to the parents of the team. The girls are not normally included in any of this correspondence. This person is also be a source of helping the parents with ideas for what to do for team meals or if they can't be there for their volunteer assignment date and times - this does NOT mean that the Team Parent has to fill in when someone else can't fulfill their responsibilities. There might be times when this person is helping a parent find another family that they can switch a volunteer assignment time with. For one of the days of Homecoming week, the Team Parent will need to purchase items to be put in the treat bags of each of the girls (all players plus managers) - this purchase is reimbursable. Some ideas are tiny bubbles, gum, hair ties, candy, finger lights, keychains and stickers. Additionally, this person is responsible for coordinating a Coach gift from the team at the banquet. The Team Parent will need to gather ideas, money, purchase the gift and wrap it. The girls will present it to the coach at the banquet. It has been $10-$15 per player in the past but never mandatory.
