CLIL

Activities will be developed according to a methodology called CLIL - Content and Language Integrated Learning.

Contents will be explained in English Language, in order to improve vocabulary in specific disciplines, fluency in communication both with peer and in expositions and the ability in consulting and understanding original contents (from websites, press, documents).

Activities are usually organized in pairs, small groups, even with peer-to-peer education, as well as with final plenary presentation and question&answer sessions.

Multimodality (images, video) is always used as a support to comprehension; sometimes specific vocabulary is provided by teachers as a scaffolding for further activities.

This methodology is carried on by our school since 2016, in many curricula. To have more information about CLIL activities at ITCG Fermi, consult the page (In Italian).

The module is planned in 6 months from November to May, 1 hour per week of co-teaching by Art History and English teachers.

Other activities are developed in Italian during regular lessons of Tourism Geography.

Cross-disciplines learning is endorsed by all the teachers of the classes involved.
