Valeria Cocchi, our HR person, will provide you with all information and indication about immigration procedure and paperwork required to live and work in Italy.
During the first week after arrival, all non EU new employees will have to start their immigration procedure accompanied by an IST representative.
The whole immigration process after your arrival lasts about three months, but during this time you can start working.
During the first week at school, you will also sign your contract as well as a huge bunch of other paperwork which is mandatory in Italy (treatment of personal data, tax forms, etc.).
For more info about IST procedures for staff, please see links to our Faculty Handbook
Please keep in mind Italy is the land of paperwork so do not despair if in the first few weeks here you will spend a lot of time signing your life away, it is completely and absolutely normal!
