Here is a short recap of all the documents you will need to prepare and have ready for your arrival in Italy:

FOR school purposes :

• POLICE BACKGROUND CHECKS FOR ALL COUNTRIES WHERE YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY WORKED WITH MINORS (these will need to be anticipated to IST by email)

• ORIGINALS AND COPIES OF YOUR DEGREES (with certified translations, apostilles, Declarations of Value if needed for immigration purpose, as previously instructed)

• VALID PASSPORT (for those of you undergoing immigration procedures, it must be the one originally communicated to me), and copies of all pages

• IF YOU HAVE IT ALREADY, FOR ANY REASON, A COPY OF YOUR ITALIAN FISCAL CODE

• IF YOU ALREADY LIVE IN ITALY, PLEASE PROVIDE US WITH (ABOVE ALL THE REST):

-COPY OF YOUR PERMESSO DI SOGGIORNO OR CARTA DI SOGGIORNO IF YOU ARE A NON EU CITIZEN

-COPY OF AN ATTESTAZIONE DI ISCRIZIONE ANAGRAFICA OR RESIDENZA PERMANENTE IF YOU ARE A EU CITIZEN ALREADY RESIDENT IN ITALY. YOU CAN OBTAIN THIS DOCUMENT FROM YOUR LOCAL ANAGRAFE

FOR YOUR PERSONAL/FAMILY USE:

• ORIGINALS AND COPIES OF WEDDING CERTIFICATES AND CHILDREN BIRTH CERTIFICATES, Apostilled, translated into Italian by a certified translator, and stamped (legalized) by the Italian Consulate of reference for the State /Province where you are currently resident. Please note these certificates must not be older than 6 months at the moment of your arrival in Italy, so we suggest you wait until April, May to do that.

• CERTIFICATE FOR ANY PERMANENT SERIOUS HEALTH CONDITION YOU MAY HAVE, translated into Italian by a certified translator. This will be for your personal use, in case you need to certify to your Italian doctor a specific condition.

• PROOF OF FISCAL RESIDENCY FOR THE TWO YEARS IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL IN ITALY.

• LETTER FROM YOUR PREVIOUS EMPLOYER MENTIONING LEVEL OF EMPLOYMENT, ROLE AND DURATION OF EMPLOYMENT

• IF YOU HAVE IT, PROOF OF REGISTRATION WITH AIRE (FOR ITALIAN RESIDENTS LIVING ABROAD)

• IF YOU ARE A EU CITIZEN, CURRENTLY LIVING IN EU, YOUR EUROPEAN HEALTH CARD

• IF YOU ARE A EU CITIZEN, ALREADY LIVING IN ITALY, A "CERTIFICATO DI ISCRIZIONE ANAGRAFICA PER CITTADINI EU" OR A" ATTESTAZIONE DI SOGGIORNO PER CITTADINI EU", YOUR ITALIAN ID, AND YOUR ITALIAN HEALTH CARD

• ORIGINALS

• 8 PASSPORT SIZE PICTURES OF YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS IF THEY ARE MOVING WITH YOU

• INTERNATIONAL DRIVING LICENCE if you wish to rent/buy a car and drive in Italy. If you already have converted your driving license into an Italian one, obviously you do not need to worry. Please also read the Cars and Transport section of this website for your reference.

• If you wish to have your fiscal situation evaluated by an Italian fiscal consultant. The school has its own fiscal consultant, whose details you can find below, who is willing to assist, but then you are obviously free to choose another one.
