When leaving the gymnasium, we will all be exiting on the boys/back parking lot side.
*Locker Room
Locker rooms will be closed for now.
They will not be unlocked at any time during the school day.
Preparation for class
You will not be changing for class at this time
You are expected to wear sneakers on the day you have “In-person” PE
*Attendance and Make-ups
Make-ups will ONLY be for Absences at this time.
Make-ups will now be an online assignment posted for that week.
There are NO DROP-INS due to class size limitations
*Grading policy
Until we are able to change again, this will be the “new” daily grading rubric:
Daily Grading Points: Overall Grading Percentages
100 = 5 75% - In person Participation- Completing daily objectives
80 = 4 25% - Assessments Online
60 = 3
40 = 2
20 =1
0 = Absent/Medical/No participation
**If you are not wearing athletic sneakers for units that require appropriate footwear, you will be deducted 1 point automatically for that day.
Freebie Policy
We are not giving “freebie’s” at this time since we are no longer changing and you should be in class at your designated class time due to limited in-person learning days.
*Medical Restrictions
If you are 100% medically excused from participating in PE for more than 5 days, we will continue with our procedure of adding you to our PE Medical google classroom where you will complete assignments. (please speak to your teacher for further instruction)
If you have a medical limiting participation, please specify what you CAN do so we can adjust accordingly to allow you participation.
PLEASE NOTE- you will not be added to google classroom to make-up an assignment for 1-5 medical days 100% excused from PE. Those classes will be considered a “0” until made-up.
Curriculum
We now will have two forms of instruction that will be occurring simultaneously- in person learning and virtual learning through the hybrid design. Our students will be completing one unit in person and on their hybrid day, they will be completing a virtual unit. With limitations due to COVID, we have transitioned those units we would have had to omit to now an online learning platform so the students still get a chance to learn the material. All assessments will be given and completed via google classroom.
