SYLLABUS
Course description
This class will focus on developing\enhancing personal fitness levels through a variety of training methods. Along with training methods, other concepts such as nutrition, goal setting, program development and community involvement will be taught and applied. This course will incorporate team concepts\skills through a variety of team sports taught throughout the year. This will not only enhance team skills such as communication, teamwork, problem solving, etc but it will also provide feedback on training whether their performance improved, declined or stayed the same.

C. Programming/Goal-setting
D. Program Implementation/Design
E. Nutrition
F. Team/Recreational Sports Unit
G. Possible Field Trip- Recreational Fitness
H. Baseline Post Testing - Individual Reflection/Feedback
I. Help assist with warrior fitness challenge (if scheduled)
Grading Rubric:
Quarter 1, 2, 4: Participation- 75%/ Workbook completion/quiz - 25%
Quarter 3: Participation - 50%/ Program Implementation - 50%
*ELITE 8 TESTING BONUS: If a student is able to improve on at least 5 out of 8 “Elite 8” tests, they will improve their program implementation score for Q3 by 5 points.
