Hello Everyone,
We just wanted to share a quick update and ask for a bit of feedback.
With the recent roadworks now completed, we’d love to hear how parents and children at Cauldeen are finding the changes - please email us on cauldeen.primary@highlandpc.co.uk with your feedback.
Your feedback is really important to us, so please let us know your thoughts.
Our £20.26 Challenge sponsorship forms will be coming home next week. We completely understand that every family is different, and there is absolutely no pressure to take part. We also don’t expect families with multiple children to do it for each child - it’s entirely up to you if you’d like to get involved.
We’re also excited to be starting our Playground Improvement Project! Our first step is a Big Clean-Up on either 15th/16th April, where we’ll be -
Tidying and refreshing the playground
Working in the garden areas
Supporting improvements in the playgrounds
You may notice a new thing or two when returning to school after this 😊 and all being well, we’re hoping to have our playground markings in place by June - fingers crossed!
We are currently awaiting approval for the markings, so this clean-up will help us prepare for that. Improvements will happen in stages as we raise funds, but we’re keen to get started and make a difference now.
We’re also delighted to be working alongside ICT Community Development as part of this project! If you have any spare time on 15th or 16th April (anytime between 10am-5pm) and would like to help, we would really appreciate it - please get in touch.
If you can help in any way, or would like to donate to our project - such as compost, bulbs, or planters - we would be incredibly grateful!
Thank you so much for your continued support.
Kind Regards
Lindsay Fulton

Thanks to the amazing support of our school community, we are delighted to share that £870.82 was raised at our Cauldeen Glow Disco!
A huge thank you to everyone who came along, danced the night away and supported the event. Your fun and generosity made the night such a success.
We are incredibly grateful to our wonderful volunteers & teachers who helped organise, set up, sell glow goodies, supervise the fun and tidy up afterwards
- events like this simply wouldn’t happen without you.
A very special thank you to Rebecca, our fantastic DJ, who kept the dance floor packed all night and brought the glow party vibes - https://www.facebook.com/share/1BY2qGLQax/
And of course, thank you to all our parents, carers and supporters who continue to show up for our school and help make these events so special for the children.
Thanks
Kind Regards
Lindsay Fulton

Our Community Big Clean Up event will take place on Saturday 28 March.
There will be three litter picks happening across the community — at Castle Heather Park, Hilton Community Centre, and Milton Pitches — all starting at 10:30am.
At the Hilton Community Centre, there will also be some gardening tasks for anyone who would prefer to get involved in those instead.
How can you help?
Share our poster
I’d really appreciate it if you could share the attached poster and help spread the word.
Tell us your good‑news stories
In the run-up to the event, we’d love to highlight the great work already happening across the community. If you — or someone you know — has done something to tidy up the area, or if you spot a space that’s been cleaned up, please take a photo and let us know.
Borrow equipment
If you’d like to do a litter pick before or after the event and need to borrow litter pickers, we’re happy to lend them out.

Book Week Scotland at Our School!
19/11/25
Last week we celebrated Book Week Scotland, and it was wonderful to see our pupils enjoying stories, sharing books, and building a love of reading. Our children in Primary 1–3 were very excited to receive their Bookbug Bags (P1) and Read, Write, Count Bags (P2–3). These fantastic packs are gifted each year to support reading, writing and numeracy at home, and we hope you enjoy exploring them together. A big thank you to the Scottish Book Trust for providing these brilliant resources. More information about how you can support your child using these can be found on the links below: https://www.scottishbooktrust.com/readin.../read-write-count https://www.scottishbooktrust.com/topics/bookbug-bags
As part of Book Week we held a Drop Everything and Read session on Wednesday afternoon. At 2pm all classes were instructed to stop what they were doing and chose a reading for pleasure book to have some quiet reading time. The children loved the spontaneous nature of this and we hope to do it again soon.
This links to Global Goal 4 - Quality Education and Global Goal 10 - Reducing Inequalities. Ensuring every child has access to quality reading materials at home.

On Friday we held our first Mini Loch Ness Marathon. Pupils ran, walked, wheeled, scooted, danced and even twirled their way around the routes. All areas of the school took part with nursery running in the MUGA, Butterflies using the hall, P1-3 were on the field and P4-7 ran 10 laps of the school! There were even many pupils who did more than we asked, running extra laps or for longer.
For those not able to take part or finished quickly they were our fantastic cheer squad, keeping everyone motivated throughout the morning. Well Done everyone!
So far we have raised over £2,200! This will be split between our P6/7 residential trip to London and the school fund.
