Constitution Day

Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Diwas, is celebrated on 26 November every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. The celebrations of 2020 Consititution Day at IIT Jodhpur included Reading the Preamble of the Constitution of India, followed by an invited talk on constitutional principles by Advocate Shri V S Jayakumar (Chennai). Shri. V.S. Jayakumar started his professional career in 1977. He is a practicing advocate for more than 5 decades, contributing to the Profession. He worked at the renowned tax law firm, M/s. Subbaraya Iyer Ramamani and Padmanabhan for a decade. He was the President of Revenue Bar Association, Chennai, and held posts in the All India Federation of Tax Practitioners. He is a Trustee of Palkhivala Foundation, Chennai. His passion for the subject, Income Tax Law, and its practice have drawn him closer to Shri's association. S. Rajarathnam. He has authored a book on Authority for Advance Ruling and contributed various articles on this subject in various forums and journals.
